Welcome to the Wordlady blog!

This blog is about the fascinating, fun, and challenging things about the English language. I hope to entertain you and to help you with problems or just questions you might have with spelling and usage. I go beyond just stating what is right and what is wrong, and provide some history or some tips to help you remember. Is something puzzling you? Feel free to email me at wordlady.barber@gmail.com.

Speaking Engagements

Does your group make comments like this to your speakers?

"I would go anywhere to hear her talk about anything."
"You're the best speaker we've ever had!"
"I haven't heard something like that in a long time."
"You should be a standup comic."
"That was hilarious!"
"Thank you for your fabulous presentation."

"If you ever get the opportunity to hear the Word Lady speak in person, don’t let it pass you by!"
"We have some really good speakers, but you're PHENOMENAL!"
That's what they say about the Word Lady.
